"
Foundation Developed by Teen with CP"

June 5, 2007

A teenage boy living in Houston, Texas, recently started a foundation and continues to serve as a constant pillar of hope and inspiration to all those around him.

The boy has taken the two things he is most passionate about in life, sports and politics, and created a foundation that will focus on funding cerebral palsy research.

Patient with Cerebral Palsy Lends a Helping Hand

Gary J. Lynn, 16, has spent the last few years giving coaching advice to athletes like golfer Bo Van Pelt and Kris Brown, the kicker for Houston’s football team.

He also has developed a close friendship with the governor of Texas, Rick Perry and the mayor of Houston, Bill White.

First Tournament for the Gary J. Lynn Foundation

Lynn started the non-profit organization he refers to as the Gary J. Lynn Foundation, which will host the first Rid the World of Cerebral Palsy Golf Tournament in September.

Lynn and those working for the foundation hope the event will become annual and the initial one is going to reportedly honor Dr. Mindy Aisen.

Aisen has becoming well known and respected as being the leading neurology specialist with the United Cerebral Palsy Research and Educational Foundation.

“Though Gary is confined by a wheelchair, he refuses to be defined by his disability,” says his proud mother, Andrea Lynn. “This golf tournament will give Gary the chance to thank his supporters and to enrich the lives of others who live with this crippling disease.”
