New Treatment for Cerebral Palsy

A new treatment for children living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities was recently introduced by Snowdrop Child Development Consultants. The treatment is reportedly presented to families in the form of a program that can be carried out for several days at home.

Neuro-Cognitive Therapy Introduced

Neuro-cognitive therapy is a program that takes into account that children with developmental difficulties problems involving sensory perception. This form of therapy also acknowledges that learning can lead to further development in cerebral palsy patients. According to the program, if information is presented at the correct level and in the correct way, then children are enabled to learn.

Father of Child with CP Behind Program

The regime was created by Andrew Brereton, who is the father of a child who was born with cerebral palsy and autism. Although his son passed away from a stroke four years ago, during his short life Andrew strived to become qualified in the areas of child development and cognitive psychology. As he became better educated on these subjects, Andrew grew more disgruntled with doctors and therapists who weren’t properly treated children with disabilities. As a result, he formed the neuro-cognitive therapy, which gives families control and enables them to educate themselves on what’s best for their kids.
